Children here are seen as capable, and teaching matches that. Two teachers hold 4-year Elementary Education degrees. One has a 4-year Music degree, and one a 4-year Psychology degree. Our Director holds an undergraduate degree from Penn State and a master's from Rutgers, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Judy and Bill Whale have operated this licensed center since 1999 and are present most hours, taking personal interest in every child and staff member.

That shows up in the rooms. Teachers with degrees in education, music, and psychology plan small-group work and one-to-one help. We include hot breakfast, lunch, and two snacks for every child, so the day has a steady rhythm. Babies and toddlers get their own play area, separate from older children, to reduce injury risk. Teachers watch for what each child is ready for and respond, rather than pushing a fixed schedule.

Rooms are arranged so children can move between activities and find what they need. Younger children have their own space; babies and toddlers play apart from older children to reduce injury risk. We serve hot breakfast, lunch, and two snacks, giving the day a steady rhythm. Teachers pace activities around the group's energy and attention, then reset for what comes next.

We video and photograph the children, then edit the footage into DVDs given free to parents, grandparents, and relatives. You can see what goes on during the day, and children keep a memento. We are finishing Videos 43, 44, and 45, nearly six hours covering last year. For daily questions, teachers and the office are your first call.
